What is Protein?
Protein is a part of every cell, tissue, and organ in the body. Do Vegans and vegetarians get enough protein?
Protein powders are powdered forms of protein made from animal foods like milk and eggs or plant sources like soy, peas, rice, and hemp. There has been the long due myth of vegans and vegetarians not getting enough protein from their diet, so they require a supplement to balance that. Let's not believe in myth and follow the facts. Maximum protein powders are made of a plant-based diet and few from milk and tofu, very less amount of protein powders are made of animal meats. Vegetarians do not get enough protein is the reason for their unbalanced diet which sometimes results in lots of bread. Non-vegetarians end up buying more supplements than vegetarians according to research made. Eating a balanced diet is the answer to maintaining the protein level in our body.
How much protein is enough protein?
The suggested amount of protein for sedentary adults (base physical activity) is 0.8 grams per kilogram of body weight or 0.36 grams per pound of bodyweight. This quantity is what the average person should consume to reach what is known as nitrogen balance. This results in 56 grams per day for the average sedentary man, 46 grams per day for the average sedentary woman.
